Known neurological complications of stem cell transplantation include CNS infection, seizures, strokes, metabolic encephalopathy, and hemorrhage. We report two cases of autologous stem cell transplantation complicated by cerebral infarction and myocardial injury. We postulate that the cryopreservative dimethyl sulfoxide may be responsible.
